About MoFloCoCo

We are an elected group of residents who care about the area. Our main role is to consult local people on matters affecting them and make their views known to the City Council and other bodies. We also initiate projects in the interest of the community.

The Scottish Government provides more information on the role of Community Councils in Scotland and The Glasgow Scheme for Community Councils (PDF) outlines specific responsibilities for Community Councils in Glasgow.

You can read our mission here.

The area covered by MoFloCoCo (see map) extends to Kings Park Avenue and Aikenhead Road and therefore includes part of Kings Park. That means we represent a diverse community, but all sharing the same shops, primary school, local amenities.

Any resident of Mount Florida over the age of 16 can become a Community Councillor. All residents are welcome to attend meetings which are held at Clincarthill Church Halls on the fourth Tuesday of every month (except July, and December) at 7pm. Please send us an email for the meeting joining details.
